Oh blogging in November is tough but without the CSA anymore its even worse!
Andrew and I are still adjusting to our new work routine but it does mean more lunch packing. Here are a the tiffins from this week (today was a boring sandwich day).

This is week 15 for our CSA, only 3 more until we have to bid it farewell until next summer. We’ll be buying a smaller box since the full size one was just too much food for 2 people! Which is fine because the smaller box is $7 less a week which will save us $100 over the season!
I’ve been working hard at Christmas crafts so still a bit light on cooking but I should be finished with my projects in 2-3 weeks. Below is the CSA contents and menu.
6 ears sweet corn
1.5 pounds potatoes
1 red kuri squash
2 watermelon radishes
2 bunches arugula
2 green peppers
2 jalapeno peppers
3 peaches
6 mini plums
3 apples

I’m going to try and turn the corn in to not creamed corn but…I’m merely human and creamed corn is delicious. Continue reading

After finally getting our peaches under control (deliciously) things are more easy to manage with the CSA this week since I feel like we can use/freeze/eat everything we got. I still have a jar of pickled beets to send home too but I really hate the post office so that will have to wait.

Jump below for the CSA list and menu for the week. Continue reading
Our CSA is totally exploding in peaches so this weekend I’ll have to under take two big peach related projects: ice cream and pie. It’s a hard job but someone has to do it! Below the cut you’ll see the menu and CSA listing for the week :3

Had a bit of a run in with my wallet. In that I lost it in a parking lot but now I’ve got it back and I’m pretty pleased about that. Have a menu! Continue reading
