It couldn’t be simpler to make banana bread and it’s what nature intended for all those bananas you seem to end up having leftover every now and then. Perfect with butter, jam, or a smear of cream cheese or even just by itself this recipe takes about 10 minutes to come together in a single bowl and the results are great. Add in coconut flakes, nuts, or even some chocolate chips to take it to the next level.
Banana Bread
Preheat the oven to 175°C and butter and/or line with parchment a standard loaf pan.
In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork then add all but the flour to the mix, making sure to mix well.
Add rest of the ingredients to the bowl and mix just until a batter forms and most lumps are dissolved.
Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for about 40-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
