I guess I’m going back to Friday menus for this week. I also have a few new recipes up my sleeve this week! Because we waited SO LONG to go shopping that our fridge contains:
1 onion
1/2 tub sour cream
1 open jar red curry
1 open tube of tomato paste
3 sticks butter
and of course
1 stick of lemongrass (been there for a while…)
Our freezer is a little heartier:
3lbs chicken breasts
2 lbs shrimp
1/2 lb spinach
1 baggie of fennel (chopped)
3 baggies of herbs (basil/parsley/cilantro)
So in all not that much food going to happen from there even though with those meats I could squeeze a few extra meaty meals from it.
On to the menu:
Friday
lunch – sandwich and kiwi
dinner – tomato cheddar polenta
Saturday
lunch – soup
dinner – Chicken and Vegetable piroshkis
Sunday
lunch – out w/ Ross and Rachel
dinner – green curry prawns
Monday
lunch – couscous
dinner – tamale pie
Tuesday
lunch – leftovers
dinner – stirfry
Wednesday
lunch – sandwich and orange
dinner – soup
We’re going shopping on Thursday so I’ll eat leftovers for lunch and have a new menu up by then (I hope!)
