Ingredients
 2 cm fresh ginger, grated
 1 tbsp garlic powder
 1 cup water
 1 lb chicken
 1 tsp cardamom
 ½ tsp cloves
 1 tsp pepper
 2 tsp cinnamon
 2 onions, diced
 1 tsp ground coriander
 2 tsp cumin
 4 tsp paprika
 1 tsp cayenne powder
 1 tsp salt
 6 tbsp plain yogurt
 ½ tsp garam masala
Directions

Heat oil in a large stock pot. When hot put in the onions. Stir and fry for 5 minutes until they turn a medium brown color.

Put in all of the spice except the garam masala and mix until completely coated.

Add the cubed meat in and brown for 5-10 minutes.

Then add the yogurt, a tablespoon at a time until completely incorporated. Stir and fry for another 3 minutes.

Now add the water, bring to the boil, cover, and turn heat to on low.

Cook on low for an hour making sure to stir the mix every 10 minutes.

When the meat is tender take off the lid, turn the heat up to medium, and boil away some of the liquid if desired.

Once done, sprinkle the garam masala and black pepper over the meat before you serve.
