Recipe: Black Pepper and Chive Popovers

If you’d like to impress someone but don’t want to put in too much effort popovers are sure to do that and these ones are packed with chives and black pepper giving them an extra special edge over the average popover.

Ingredients
 2 cups flour
 2 tbsp fresh parsley and chives, finely chopped
 1 tbsp salt
 1 tbsp black pepper
 3 eggs
 2.50 cups milk
 5 tbsp butter, melted

Preheat the oven to 425°F. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, parsley, chives, pepper, and salt. Whisk to combine.

In a separate bowl, combine eggs, and milk, whisking until combined, then gradually add flour mixture into the eggs and milk, followed by 3 tablespoons of melted butter, lightly mixing until just combined.

In a 12 muffin tin, using the rest of the melted butter, add 1/2 teaspoon of butter into each muffin tin.

Once buttered, pour batter into the muffin tins, filling each hole about three-quarters full. Bake about 30-35 minutes, until popovers have puffed up, and become golden brown.
